* RJ COOPER APPOINTMENTS *

FCM is proud to partner with RJ Cooper, a pioneer in the field of Assistive Technology (AT),
to allow a limited number of children to be an actual part of his presentation.  Mr. Cooper,
helping to start the AT field back in 1984, will be working with our children and address your
response to his question, “What is it that you’d like your child to do that he/she is not doing
now?” as it relates to technology.  Mr. Cooper has been doing hands-on presentations in this
manner for schools, private providers and families for over 10 years and is highly successful
at bringing new ideas and demonstrating new approaches to those areas that might have
been barriers before.

Here are some of the ways he has helped provide access for children and adults with
disabilities: Switch adapted digital cameras/camcorders, communication devices, keyboard
stands, switch adapted MP3 players, iPod remotes, game controllers for things such as X-
Box, Game Cube, etc.  Really, the sky is the limit, if there is something you want to see your
child have access to, but you just don’t know how to make is happen, RJ is the person you
want to talk to!

and all ages with any degree of impairment will benefit from RJ’s expertise!



* SIBSHOPS *

FCM is proud to welcome Sibshops at our third annual convention.  Sibshops are workshops
that provide support, information and recreational opportunities for siblings, ages 6-13, of kids
with special needs. These workshops provide a chance for kids to meet and talk with other
kids whose brothers and sisters have similar needs.  Additional information about Sibshops
can be found at: www.siblingsupport.org.  Sibshops will be presenting two times to be sure
that every sibling can participate - space is limited so sign up today.  There is no additional
cost to participate.

* PICTURES *

If you want to see your child on the big screen at the convention send in your pictures on or
before May 30, 2010!  If you send pictures after May 30th we cannot guarantee your child will
be in the movies.  We don't want to leave anyone out so send in your pictures today!  Send
pictures to convention@childrenwithmicro.org with the subject titled "PICTURES".
