“We Are Not Alone” – the 3rd Annual Microcephaly Convention, is back in Arizona for 2010, and will be held in Scottsdale, at the
prestigious Fairmont Scottsdale Resort.  The Fairmont Scottsdale is a 5 Diamond Resort also known as "The Princess".  The
Fairmont Scottsdale is where we hosted our very first annual convention and we are going back due to high demand from our
families and their wonderful 5 Diamond customer service!

The Convention will begin the evening of June 17, and the fun will continue all the way through the afternoon of June 20.  We
welcome all children and their families who are affected by Microcephaly, Lissencephaly, Polymicrogyria and other closely-related
neurological disorders to join us for this special event.

If you would like an appointment with Dr. Dobyns and the other top physicians attending, please check the appropriate box on the
registration form.  There is a $35.00 surcharge for a doctor’s appointment.  After we receive your registration form and payment, we
will contact you to set up an appointment and inform you of all the necessary paperwork you will need to submit prior to the
appointment.

Convention and room reservations begin February 5, 2010 and are now available!  Register today and receive “Early Bird” pricing!  
Please keep in mind that transportation costs (airfare, rental car, meals not provided in our plan) will be your personal responsibility.

Resort & Room Information

Closest Airport: Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) (http://www.phxskyharbor.com/)

Check-in and Check-out times:
Check-in time is 4:00pm.
Check-out time is 12:00 noon.

Pre and Post Rates:
The resort will be happy to extend the special rate for FCM guests: three days prior and three days after the program dates based
on availability.  So come early and stay after the Convention to enjoy all that Arizona has to offer.

Service Charges: ****VERY IMPORTANT****
A service charge of $12.00 PER ADULT (children 17 years and younger will NOT be charged) will be applied to your registration fee.  
This fee covers ALL TIPS you would give to porters, concierge service, golf cart drivers etc.  Please DO NOT tip these persons as
the tips are included in your registration fees.

incorporates subtle desert hues and earthy accents.  These rooms are located in the resort's main building and offer sprawling
views of the gardens, courtyards or Princess Plaza.  They offer high-speed Internet access, well-defined living and work areas,
spacious bathrooms with large dressing areas, separate shower and oversized bathtub, refreshment center, wet bar and a
charming patio with a table and two chairs --- perfect for capturing a breathtaking Arizona sunset.

Fairmont Gold                        Single- $175.00        Double- $175.00

Deluxe rooms are luxuriously appointed with warm desert accents and Southwestern architecture.  Located in the main building,
they offer views of the lagoon or the renowned TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course (home to the FBR Open, formerly the Phoenix Open).
Equipped with high-speed Internet access, well-defined living and work areas, spacious bathrooms with large dressing areas,
separate shower and oversized bathtub, refreshment center, wet bar and a charming patio with a table and two chairs.

View: Premium views of the golf course, lagoon or pool


Casita Signature                Single- $185.00        Double- $185.00

Signature rooms offer a unique, open-concept that combines the bedroom and spacious sitting area.  Located in the Casita area,
these luxurious accommodations offer views of the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course or the resort's majestic desert surroundings.  
Equipped with a gas fireplace, refreshment center, wet bar and spacious bathroom that includes a unique shell-shaped walk-in
shower, large dressing area and dual sinks. Some rooms may also accommodate a rollaway bed, or include a sofa bed.  

Bed Type: One King or two Double beds
Size: 700 sq. ft.
View: Resort grounds or golf course


Casita Suite                        Single- $275.00        Double- $275.00

Tucked away in an intimate setting, the Casita Suites boast a rich, elegant design that exudes vibrant shades of gold, sage, blue and
maroon --- reflective of an exquisite Spanish Colonial estate.  Casita guests will enjoy a myriad of plush amenities, including,
luxurious frette linens, plush duvet cover, oversized king pillows, IPod docking stations with Bose speakers, CD player and
collection of CDs, as well as extended work desks with leather pen holders.  Casita Suites are composed of a large sitting area with
a gas fireplace, a sofa bed with a mohair throw and a round marble table that seats four. Additional amenities include a separate
bedroom with a shell-shaped walk-in shower, French coffee and tea press, and crystal stemware.  

Bed Type: One King or two Double beds
Size: 850 sq. ft.
View: Limited Garden view and
     Golf Course and Lagoon View- add an extra $100.00 per night


Additional Room Occupant:
An extra person sharing a room will be charged an additional $30.00 per night. There will be no charge for children up to and
including the age of 18 years who share with their parents.  Maximum occupancy per-room (including children): Four (4).


Refrigerators:
All rooms are equipped with a mini-bar fridge. All of our families are welcome to clear out the fridge that is already in the room and
use it for your personal items (food, drinks, medication, etc.). We cannot guarantee that these mini bar fridges will be big enough or
cold enough to house all of your needs. Therefore: you have the OPTION to rent out an additional fridge for $45.00/per stay, that will
be there specifically to keep your medications and foods at the appropriate temperature.  This fee is for the whole stay, NOT per day.


Microwaves:
The rooms are not equipped with microwaves.  You do have the option of renting one for $45/per stay to accommodate your needs.

Parking:
The charge for overnight valet parking is $24/per day.  Overnight self parking is complimentary for our group.


Taxes:
Currently, room rates are subject to the following taxes: 11.92%
The tax rates may change without notice.



Food/Meals:
There will be five (5) meals included in your registration fee. All other meals will be your responsibility. Upon arrival, FCM will provide
you with a list of local restaurants at different price points and locations that your family may choose from, or you can go out and
explore on your own and find a hidden Scottsdale gem! Let’s not forget the option of having pizza delivered to your hotel room, or
going down to the local grocery store and picking up items to snack on in your room!

Workshops:
All workshops and seminars are included in your registration fee.

Cancellation Policy:
Registration Fees: Full refunds for Registration Fees will be granted on or before May 1, 2010.  All requests for refunds MUST be
made in writing addressed to the Foundation for Children with Microcephaly and mailed to:

Room Reservations: Room reservations must be cancelled by May 10, 2010 in order to receive a full refund.  All requests for refunds
